Philosophy
New technologies and technological systems continually exert an ever-greater influence on our lives today. Technology and computers has emerged as an absolutely essential part of a comprehensive public education. Technologies represent the real-world application of scientific principles to solve problems and increase our efficiency in the world, as well as our enjoyment of it. Emphasis is given in the design and layout process, desktop publishing, web authoring and animation, digital video and audio and the study of systems of communication.
Our courses provide students with exposure to design concepts and activities in the areas of computer applications such as Adobe Indesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Golive, Macromedia Flash and a wide array of digital imaging software. Many forms of electronics are used such as scanners, digital cameras, video cameras along with audio and video mixing and editing. These experiences are essential for students to form a solid foundation for post-secondary education and also to provide elements of occupational readiness.
