Science is vital to understanding the world we live in. Science is best experienced, not taught. Our goal in the NMHS Science Department is to expose learners to the actual processes of conducting science rather than just teaching it. We have embraced the Next Generation Science Standards, and are transitioning our classes to the thoughts and practices of these standards. It is our intention to graduate students that have a sound understanding of the natural world, and have the skill-set necessary to conduct their own investigations about the world around us.
