Mr. Mongiardo

Mr. Mongiardo has been teaching physical education at Berkley Street Elementary School and B.F. Gibbs Elementary School since 2005. A graduate of Shenendehowa High School (Clifton Park, NY), he played four years of Baseball as well as lettered in Football and Basketball. Mr. Mongiardo is a graduate of SUNY Cortland and he earned a Master's Degree of Exercise Science, Coaching and Sport Administration from Montclair State University in 2010. Mr. Mongiardo walked onto the SUNY Cortland baseball team as a catcher and is entering his 7th season as Head Baseball Coach, and is in his 11th season in the Knights Baseball Program. He has also been coaching basketball for New Milford for the past eleven years. Mr. Mongiardo also teaches intramural sports in the Learning Enrichment Activities Program (LEAP program) for 5th-grade students.

Mr. Mongiardo is also the Head Coach for the North Jersey Eagles of the Atlantic Collegiate Baseball League, one of eight NCAA-sanctioned collegiate summer baseball leagues in the United States and funded by Major League Baseball.  The team is based out of Professional Baseball Instruction (PBI) in Upper Saddle River, NJ and won back- to-back ACBL Championships in 2012 and 2013.

Mr. Mongiardo enjoys spending time with his wife Gina, daugher Giavana and son Marco.
