Degrees and Certifications:
B.A Degree, Montclair State College Post-B.A. Teacher Certification
Mr. Carl Scariati
I have always been interested in mathematics and science. I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics from Montclair State College, earned my Post-baccalaureate Teacher Certification from the same institution, and was inducted into the honor society of Phi Kappa Phi. I previously taught high school mathematics and computer courses at Northern Valley Regional High School at Demarest and Old Tappan, and I also have extensive experience in the field of computer systems and data processing for large corporations, where I worked on one of the largest databases in the world. I began teaching at David E. Owens Middle School in 2003, and have taught both 7th and 8th grade regular and honors mathematics courses.
My goal in mathematics education is to make foundational mathematical concepts accessible to all students so that they are sufficiently prepared for more advanced study of mathematics, and to connect these very important concepts to other disciplines.

> Retakes: Students may apply for a retake by filling out and returning Retake form to me. Retake forms must be signed by a parent or guardian.
