Mrs. Wendy Mackey

Mrs. Mackey graduated with her Bachelor’s +18  from William Paterson University in 1995 and taught in the Palisades Park School system for 2 years. She then moved her career over to NMHS in 1997. When she decided to start her family, she took a short break from teaching (7 years) and after her “babies” were enrolled in full-time school, she was thrilled to return to NMHS in 2007.  In addition to being a Special Educator for English, Mrs. Mackey runs the Book Club because getting students into reading is a huge passion of hers. Outside of school, Mrs. Mackey is very involved in the town’s activities. She was a Girl Scout leader for 10 years, as well as a softball coach for 9 years. During the summer, you will find Mrs. Mackey running New Milford’s Broadway Kids, which is a theater camp established in 2010 and held right here at NMHS during the summer. We just had our 10 year anniversary! Feel free to look us up on Facebook.

Update! In April 2019, through Grand Canyon University, Mrs. Mackey earned her Master's Degree in Psychology. This was an exhausting, yet exciting adventure.

“Always believe in yourself and always stretch yourself beyond your limits. Your life is worth a lot more than you think because you are capable of accomplishing more than you know. You have more potential than you think, but you will never know your full potential unless you keep challenging yourself and pushing beyond your own self imposed limits.”
