Mrs. Westervelt has taught in New Milford for the past seven years; first as a Resource Room teacher at B.F. Gibbs School and then as teacher of the MD Class at New Milford High School. Mrs. Westervelt holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Monmouth University.  She is a certified Elementary School Teacher and Teacher of the Handicapped.  She also has SLE certification.
