Katie DeLorenzo is so very excited to bring the art of Dance to the New Milford Public School District. She is starting two new dance programs. One at David E. Owens Middle School and the other at New Milford High School.

She received her Bachelor’s degree in Dance from Marymount Manhattan College, is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Theatre Education, and is also attaining her certification through American Ballet Theatre’s teacher training program. Not new to New Milford, she has taught on staff at Dance Dimensions for close to 10 years, where she currently teaches their competition dancers. She is also an adjunct professor of Dance at Fairleigh Dickinson University. Over the summer months, she is a teacher for the Children and Teen program at Broadway Dance Center in NYC and travels to set choreography for studios and theaters all around the country

She is very passionate about celebrating and sharing as many styles and cultures of dance as she can fit, encouraging and supporting her students to be bold dance artists & strong athletes, building lifelong mentorship and culture of a dance family, while encouraging students to be good, kind humans in and out of the classroom. 

In her downtime, she loves to read, do yoga, and hang out with her niece. She is so grateful to be a part of the New Milford family and to grow this program to all it can be.
