We are getting off to a great start in 5th grade! In ELA, we are examining and analyzing character traits, generating ideas for our personal narratives, and improving our vocabulary. Fifth graders are also showing off their acting skills as they recreate skits from our novel, Holes.  The students are recording skits they created which will be available on Flipgrid for your viewing pleasure! In Social Studies class, we played a great game of Jeopardy on different categories related to geography. Currently, we are learning about different Native Americans through an archeological dig in our classroom! Students made some amazing discoveries while digging for artifacts! Fifth grade is an exciting year, so please stay tuned for other amazing events in room 131!
