Mrs. Eliscia Minaya

Mrs. Minaya has been an occupational therapist in the New Milford School District for almost 9 years. She earned her associates degree at Bergen Community College in Paramus, NJ. She received her Bachelor's degree in occupational therapy from Kean University. 

As an occupational therapist, Mrs. Minaya provides individualized intervention services for special education students in the areas of fine and visual motor skills, visual perceptual skills and sensory integration skills. Mrs. Minaya collaborates with the child study team staff, administration, parents, etc. to develop and carry out recommendations, intervention goals and treatment strategies geared to each student's specific needs.  Mrs. Minaya participates in professional learning opportunities throughout each school year offered by the district as well as outside sources to continue to enhance her knowledge of the above skills and assist students in achieving greater academic success. 

Mrs. Minaya has a son who she enjoys spending quality time with and watching him play his favorite sports which are roller hockey and baseball.
