With so many changes regarding athletics ahead for all of us, our coaches and administration are working hard to prepare for winter sports. As of now we do not have definite plans but we expect to implement phases as per the NJSIAA, our state governing body for athletics. Before we can do that there are expectations for all student athletes. First and foremost all student athletes must be healthy including revealing any previous health conditions and adhere to the new protocols for athletics. Those protocols will be shared with each of you by your coaches at length but there is some paperwork that must be submitted before conditioning can begin in the next few weeks.

    1.  The new Health History Form - must be submitted ASAP

    2.  Permission Packet

    3.  COVID Questionnaire

    4.  Daily Questionnaire - this will have to accompany each student athlete to each practice and must be filled out beforehand

More information will follow as it becomes available

    NEW MILFORD ATHLETICS

While academics plays the most vital role in helping to shape a student's future, athletics plays an important part as well. Life lessons of sacrifice, perseverance, responsibility, teamwork, and commitment are reinforced through athletics. We hope that our athletes will strive to be the best they can be daily both in the classroom and in athletics.   Even a higher education school such as Princeton University promotes athletics and its "cocurricular experience."  (Refer to Princeton University Athletics)

At New Milford we expect our athletes to represent the school with respect and dignity as well demonstrate character and sportsmanship on and off the field.   Appropriate expectations are always expressed by our teams and coaches.  Be the best that you can be as a person and a student athlete.  Always "Play Like a Knight and Educate through Athletics."
