About the Teacher
Degrees and Certifications:
Mr. Raymond Cottiers
I graduated from New Milford High School in 2004, and I've had the privilege of teaching in the New Milford school district since 2011. My educational background includes a Bachelor's degree from Gettysburg College and a Master's in Education from Seton Hall University. My teaching responsibilities encompass US History 1, US History 2, and Economics. From 2020 to 2022 I served as Chief of Staff for a New Jersey State Assemblyman.
In addition to my classroom duties, I take pride in founding the Social Impact Club, an organization that brings students together to collaboratively address global issues. Furthermore, I serve as the advisor for the Model United Nations club, where students engage in diplomatic simulations.
Over the past decade, I've had the honor of leading the New Milford wrestling program as its head coach, fostering not only athletic development but also personal growth among our student-athletes.
