Miss Johnson is the English Language Learner (ELL) teacher at B.F. Gibbs Elementary School and the New Milford Preschool Program. She is very excited about starting her 7th year in New Milford! In 2015, Miss Johnson graduated from Montclair State University with a bachelor's degree in Linguistics and a certificate to teach English as a Second Language (ESL) in grades P-12. She has seven years of experience teaching preschool, three years of experience substitute teaching grades P-8, and spends her summers teaching English to international high school students in New Hampshire. Miss Johnson is also proficient in Spanish and Japanese.

Miss Johnson strongly believes that anyone can learn a new language and succeed academically. She provides a safe and welcoming environment for her students so they can reach their full potential. Her lessons are not only relevant to the classroom, but also to the community and the world we live in.

In her free time, Miss Johnson enjoys hiking, traveling, brushing up on learning Japanese, and spending time with her dog, Duffy!
