My name is Feryal Gabro and I am a Language Arts/Reading Teacher for Special Education. I have taught students with Emotional/Behavioral Disabilities for 7 years in Florida. I currently teach ELA LLD for 6-8th. I am bilingual and speak Aramaic and English. I believe that it is important to provide a positive and safe learning environment for all students in order to thrive and reach their full potential. Differentiation is a big part of my daily curriculum; each student learns differently and requires appropriate support and accommodations, which are provided.  I understand the importance of home/school communication; I can be reached at any time.

Grading procedure are by groupings/categories. The following sections are weighed as follows.

 Assessments: 80 %

Homework:10 %

Classwork:10 %

Make-up work: If a student is abenst for X amount of days they have the same amount of day to make-up their assignments. 

ReTake: Students must visit classroom teacher for a extra help sesson and complete a form that is provided in-class. Once this process is complete, students will be able to re-take the assessment within a two week grace period. 

The Gradebook on PowerSchool, will be updated in a timely manner.

Tests will be announced at least a week ahead of time.

Projects posted a week prior to the due date.

Homework will be posted by 4:00 PM on the day it is assigned.
